Nattokinase

 
“Nattokinase”  
    Nattokinase, a serine proteinase enzyme from the breakdown of fermented soybeans (natto) using the bacillus subtilis (natto bacteria) to do the extraction, known to inhibit blood clot formation (thrombosis), by dissolving the already formed fibrin-rich clots and by inactivating plasminogen activator inhibitor-1.
    Nattokinase is a single polypeptide chain composed of 275 amino acids (molecular weight 27,724) which displays strong fibrinolytic activity, that can activate other fibrinolytic enzymes such as pro-urokinase and tissue plasminogen activator. *
